About us
The Shaman Tree Kennel was established in 2009 with the approval of the kennel name by the FCI and the Dutch kennelclub. We are also a member of the Siberian Husky Klub Nederland (SHKN / breed club). This means that we comply with the regulations of FCI, Dutch Kennelclub and SHKN and that health testing is completed by specialists before breeding.
Since 2002 there are Siberian Huskies in my life. It started with two Siberian Huskies from the shelter, but after having attended various obedience courses and having visited a number of dog shows, I really wanted a Siberian Husky with a pedigree in order to participate in this form of dog sports.
My dogs are first and foremost my pets, but after a while I started to get deeper into the breed and the contribution my Siberian Huskies and I could make to improving and maintaining our beautiful breed and that was when the kennel name was requested. So it is a hobby that got out of hand and we don't breed a lot, on average one litter pups per year.
I would not be able to do dog shows without the great support of my parents. My mother and I go to the shows and my father takes care of the dogs that do not go along. Since 2017 my parents are also in possession of two beautiful Siberian Huskies with pedigree and with them my mother also participates in shows with great successes. Since 2016, I have completed the cynology courses offered by the Dutch Kennel Club to become eligible to take breed exams (KK1 / KK2 / E & B) to become a judge.
In 2018 I passed my first breed exam and have I been appointed as a FCI judge for several breeds in group 2 and 5.
I am also a member of the Association of Judges in Canine field in The Netherlands (V.K.K.)
